Day 4: Building Cult Followings with TikTok
A Strategic Detour
Today, we hit pause on our AI artist and manager agents to focus on something critical: helping them (and you) build a cult following.

Here’s the deal: if an artist is going to grow, they need to deeply understand their fans. And there’s no better place to start than TikTok, where discovery happens. That’s why we shifted gears to work on a TikTok fan segmentation agent—a tool to turn fan engagement into actionable insights.
This isn’t just a nice-to-have. It’s a key step in giving our agents (and you) more autonomy to connect with fans, grow audiences, and move them from casual listeners to superfans.
What We Did
For today’s demo, we analyzed comments on one TikTok video (because comments are where the real fans live).
Here’s how it works:
1. Pull the comments: We started with 134 comments from a TikTok video.
2. Analyze a fan: We focused on “Hamilton Girl,” a musical theater enthusiast from Great Britain. Based on her bio (Lin Manuel 67) and content, we placed her in a Broadway/musical theater fan segment.
3. Segment the fans: By analyzing their actions, we can understand their passions and connect in a way that resonates.

The magic here? Every comment represents a fan who cares—and by understanding what they love, we can deliver content that truly connects.
Why Comments?
Not every follower is a fan.
Followers might passively watch, but commenters took action—they cared enough to engage. That’s why we started with comments. By focusing on your most engaged fans, you can deliver content with a higher ROI and build stronger relationships.
Eventually, we’ll expand this tool to analyze entire followings. But by starting with fans first, you can double down on what works and grow faster.
The Vision
When the TikTok analysis agent launches next week, it won’t just analyze one video at a time. It will:
• Analyze all your artist’s TikTok videos and comments.
• Identify fan segments, patterns, and key insights across the board.
• Empower artists, managers, and labels to connect with fans faster and smarter.
And here’s the kicker: this tool won’t just be for us. Starting next week, anyone will be able to go to Recoup, type in their artist, and run a full TikTok analysis.
